Peiner Construction Cranes San Jose

SMAG is a German company and global leader in the manufacture and design of Peiner Buckets and Grapples. Our production line is comprised of electro-hydraulic motor grabs, mechanical motor grabs, hydraulic lifting machinery, single rope radio control grabs and a variety of other kinds of specialized lifting machinery.

To date, Peiner has provided over 75,000 units throughout the world. Our unique grabs handle a range of materials from cement, iron ores, coke, fertilizers, scrap and refuse, amongst a range of other things. Our many years of experience in the overall designing process and in developing excellent products helps to allow our customers receive the proven technology their various applications demand.

In the US marketplace, SMAG/Peiner has been represented by Peiner USA, Inc. Various businesses like for example Waste to Energy, Scrap handling, Steel Mills, as well as numerous other material handling facilities including Bulk Transfer Facilities presently using our grabs and buckets to get their tasks done.

The design philosophy at Peiner has always revolved around providing grabs which deal with the largest volume of material vs. grab dead weight. The regular handling ratio for Peiner buckets and grabs is about 60/40, meaning material dead weight of 60 percent vs. grab dead weight of 40 percent. This translates into transporting greater quantities of materials quicker. There is less wear and tear on the structure of the crane and its related parts. Through a combination of manufacturing with high quality materials and innovative design, the weight ration that is desired is attained.

Grab sizes would vary from 1 cubic yard or less to more than 50 cubic yards in order to meet the requirements of the customer. In addition, Peiner USA Inc. provides a complete spare parts facility and service facility for the units sold within the United States, as well as the addition of new buckets and grabs.
