Use a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also called pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are utilized in order to move things and materials around on wooden pallets using metal forks which are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump that could raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by a single individual.
Pallet trucks should be operated carefully in order to avoid loss of control while raising heavy loads. Equipment should be checked prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Check that the handle turns smoothly. The pallet should be carefully stacked to be able to guarantee that nothing would fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level found on the inside of the metal loop to be able to release the air in the pump and lower the forks. The forks could then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be in the middle to be able to ensure equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has fully cleared the ground. Do not raise the pallet too high or the forklift can unbalance.
Pull on the handle and drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is truly dangerous to push the pallet in front of you because the thrust could cause it to go out of control. Slowly take turns and don't attempt to stop abruptly. Slowly stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
