Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck offering versatility and great height. The crane, or arm, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the operator to lift the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard lift trucks could not move the load towards and away from the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally used in both agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
A lift truck carton clamp attachments are better in cases needing high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to use uniform clamping force when lifting a load. It is available with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A man basket is a lift platform designed specially to hoist workers. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a chain or strap which is to be secured directly to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
