Linden Comansa was a corporation that started manufacturing tool and jig in the early parts of the 1960s. They went by the name "Imausa". The company started out supplying mostly the larger sub-contractors to the then booming automotive business
Around that same time, there was a strong industrial expansion in Spain. This period saw Imausa making more sophisticated jigs, machine tools and various kinds of tools for both in-house and external applications. The company even specialized in making pre-fabricated steel structures particularly for industrial buildings.
The company's most logical and next step was into the crane market. The Spanish tourist industry exploded to soon become one of the biggest tourism magnets within the world. This mass expansion of course brought a parallel demand for schools, housing and hospitals among other things. The corporation became extremely busy, really fast.
Production
The first cranes that were manufactured were saddle-jib, simple cranes. They were mostly suitable to the building methods at that specific time. The first crane model eventually grew into a range of cranes with a capacity ranging from 12 to 42 metric-tons.
Linden Comansa saddle-jib cranes had already met the 200 metric-ton barrier by the early 1970s. Linden Comansa has surpassed the standard and has continued to engineer and design cranes which surpass the 900 metric ton capacity. There is currently manufacturing and design facilities that permit the production and development of more incredible and even bigger equipments.
The unique Linden 8000 Modular System crane provides several specific advantages which has made it a popular machine for Linden Comansa clients all over the world. These global clients have bought about 12,000 Linden Comansa cranes in addition to the approximately 6000 machines made in Sweden by Linden-Alimak. These different other cranes were made before the acquisition of the world-wide manufacturing and selling rights of this particular modular system.
